Ghanaian Callum Hudson-Odoi set to leave Chelsea on loan

Talented winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the verge of leaving Chelsea on loan as he seeks more playing time.

Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle, and Southampton have all been linked with the England international who has Ghanaian parents and is being chased by Ghana Football Association to commit to Black Stars before the 2022 World Cup.

Hudson-Odoi, who made 15 Premier League appearances last season but has yet to play this season, is considering other offers.

Chelsea are said to be open to a loan deal but does not want to lose the 21-year-old permanently.

Hudson-Odoi was left out of the squad for Chelsea’s opening Premier League game at Everton and an unused sub against Tottenham on Sunday.

He is not trusted by manager Thomas Tuchel.

Hudson-Odoi, who has three England caps, was on the verge of joining Bayern Munich in 2019 before agreeing to a five-year deal worth more than £120,000 per week.

Since injuring his Achilles in the same year, he has struggled to establish himself as a regular at Chelsea, but he has spent this summer working on his upper body strength in order to make an impact this season.
