American rapper of Ghanaian descent, Victor Kwesi Mensah, known in showbiz as Vic Mensah has been charged with a felony in California, US.
Mensa, whose father is from Ghana and his mother an American, was found to possess brass knuckles, which has been banned in the US state of California.
The TMZ reports that police stopped Mensa for interrogation earlier within the month after he made an “unsafe turn” while travelling on his motorcycle in Glendale, California.
He was later released after posting a $20,000 bond.
Brass knuckles are pieces of metal shaped to fit around the knuckles. It is used for self-defence in fistfights and legal to use in most US states, except some few including California.
