GPL: GFA summons clubs to emergency meeting over fan death in Nsoatre

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has invited Premier League clubs for an emergency meeting to be held this Thursday, February 6, 2025

The meeting which is scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025, is in response to the violent and fatal incidents that marred the match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko at Nsoatre over the weekend.

The incident led to the stabbing of one Kotoko fan identified as Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley.

According to the Ghana FA, the meeting will “primarily focus on addressing security concerns and other related matters. Given the severity of the recent incidents, it’s essential for the GFA leadership and Premier League clubs to come together and discuss ways to prevent such tragedies in the future.”
