GPL: I lose something if Hearts Of Oak beat Kotoko- Karim Zito

Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has shed light on the difference between lining up as the lead technician for Kotoko and Dreams FC.

The veteran coach recently left his head coaching role at Dreams FC to pick up the top job at Kotoko following the sacking of Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.

At Dreams FC, Zito led the club to beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 at the University of Ghana Stadium on March 15, and in the dugout for Kotoko, Zito’s team recorded a goalless draw with Hearts, and he shared the difference in experience leading either team, stating in a post-game interview,

“The pedigree of Hearts of Oak and Kotoko [game] is not the pedigree of Hearts of Oak-Dreams FC. I lose nothing if Hearts beat Dreams FC but I lose something if Hearts beat Kotoko.”

Kotoko’s draw with Hearts keep the Porcupine Warriors in fourth place in the league standings, but only three points behind Nations FC, who beat Accra Lions 1-0 while Bibiani Gold Stars lost 1-0 at home to Karela United.
