I Don’t Listen To My Own Song When My Spirit Is Down – Sarkodie claims
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie claims there has not been a single moment he has listened to his own song if he realises he is not in a good mood.
Sarkodie, whose songs are inspirational to most people in the country and in the diaspora, has noted he only listens to the song of Yaw Sarpong of the Asomafo Band.
Sarkodie, known in private life as Michael Owusu Addo, in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Hitz FM, appreciated his fans for using his song to comfort themselves in hard times.
He encouraged the people of Ghana to continue to show more interest in his songs.
“When I am down, I don’t listen to my own songs. I listen to Yaw Sarpong. I rarely feel down,” he said.
Yaw Sarpong is an indigenous gospel musician who has composed several songs with his band.
The ‘El-Shadai’ hitmaker has composed many songs like ‘Yen Nka Nkyere Yen Agya’, ‘Wo Haw Ne Sen’, ‘Wo Haw Ne S3n?’, ‘Ede Ben Na Awurade Ntumi Nnye’, ‘3NSO Nyame Y3’, ‘Bribiara Nnye Mma No’.
