I’m still into music and running a football academy as well- Lucky Mensah

Highlife musician Alex Lucky Mensah, popularly known as Lucky Mensah has revealed that he has not quit music as speculated but has only added a football academy to his schedule due to his passion for soccer.

According to Lucky Mensah, his football academy is for youth aged 17 or below. He said he wants young Ghanaians to also have a passion for football as he used to when he was young.

“I run LM Soccer Academy which has Under 17, Under 15, Under 13, and Under 10 footballers”.

“That is where all my concentration has been lately, we play with teams all across the country and we are doing very well,”  he narrated in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Graphic Showbiz.

In the report, it was revealed that Lucky Mensah groomed his talent when he started singing in the Kristo Asafo church in Gomoa, Central Region at the age of 11.

He continued singing in the Accra New Town branch of Kristo Asafo when he relocated to Accra.

He later joined the Figo band but left the band and worked as a solo artist and released his debut album in 1993.

Since then, Lucky Mensah has worked hard to earn acknowledgments for his works with 11 albums and hits such as ‘Aduu Sumo Akwadu’, Come Back To Me, ‘And Nkratuo’ among others.

He has assured Ghanaians of more songs in the coming years as he also promised to invest and spend more time with his players in his academy.
