Isak spotted at Newcastle’s training base after training at Real Sociedad
Alexander Isak reported back to Newcastle’s training base on Monday following a solo recovery programme in Spain, where he trained at Real Sociedad’s facilities after pulling out of the club’s pre-season tour of Asia with a thigh injury. His return comes just days after Newcastle rejected a bid from Liverpool worth over £100 million.

The striker’s future has become one of the key transfer sagas of the summer. Newcastle remain adamant they do not want to sell and have placed a £150 million valuation on Isak. However, the club is already exploring contingency plans, making a £70 million offer to RB Leipzig on Saturday morning for Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko.
Leipzig’s managing director for sport, Marcel Schafer, has since confirmed multiple approaches for Sesko, who is also on Manchester United’s radar. Newcastle’s move is seen as preparation in case a late-window sale of Isak becomes unavoidable
