Singer and songwriter Akwaboah, has said jealousy and envy are common on social media and frequently originate from friends.

According to him, it has become typical for people to scroll past posts that highlight the success or achievements of a particular person but are quick to share negative information or criticism about the same person.
“Jealousy on social media is real. Your own friends will scroll past your progress! Yet they will screenshot the insults from the masses and send you,” he wrote.
