Kennedy Boakye-Ansah speaks on his appointment as Nations FC CEO
Kennedy Boakye-Ansah, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Nations Football Club, has characterized his new role as significant, though manageable.
He takes over from Kwame Twumasi-Danquah, who resigned from the role following the club’s failure to secure the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
“I didn’t have to think twice, I readily accepted the offer. I know the ins and outs of the club. I have the capacity to also lead. It’s going to be a huge task but it is extremely surmountable. I know my responsibilities have changed, I know I’m supposed to bring a lot more innovations to the club but with the support of my other management members, I am pretty sure that we will be successful” Boakye-Ansah said.
He has also held a similar communications role at Kumasi Asante Kotoko and is expected to bring valuable experience in media relations, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication to his new position.
With this appointment, Boakye-Ansah is set to offer a fresh perspective to the club’s management. He aims to utilize his experience to drive both on-field performance and off-field growth, helping to shape the future of Nations FC.
Nations FC, who were once league leaders, finished fifth in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League after being penalized for abandoning a match against Basake Holy Stars.
The club cited incidents at Holy Stars’ home venue that endangered their lives, which led to their decision.
