Kenyan MP arrested for violating COVID-19 guidelines
A Kenyan Member of Parliament has been arrested for holding a public gathering contrary to COVID-19 guidelines.
Charles Ong’ondo Were was arrested on Tuesday evening and detained at a police station.
The MP was said to have been chairing a meeting at his village home when members of the public expressed concern and reported to the police.
