King Promise is my Artiste of the Year – Shatta Wale
Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has publicly tipped fellow artiste, King Promise as his choice for the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artist of the Year.
In a video shared online, the two artistes could be seen cruising in a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, with Shatta Wale boldly endorsing the “Favourite Story” singer.
As the camera was focused on them, Shatta Wale declared: “That’s my artist of the year.
After missing out on the coveted prize at last year’s event, King Promise has stepped up his efforts to win the prestigious Artiste of the Year award.
Recently, media personality Tilly Akua Nipaa was named the official spokesperson for the “Terminator” hitmaker’s campaign towards the awards.
Nipaa has since been active in the media space, debating representatives of other artistes and strongly advocating for King Promise’s win.
The 2025 TGMA ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 10 May 2025, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre.
While King Promise is seen as the frontrunner, he faces tough competition from reigning Artiste of the Year Stonebwoy, rising star King Paluta, Black Sherif and others also vying for the honour.
