Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, is emphasizing professionalism as he prepares to face his former club, Dreams FC, in the Ghana Premier League.
The match is scheduled for 15:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Zito, who parted ways with Dreams FC just two months ago, led the team to notable successes, including a semifinal spot in the CAF Confederations Cup and the MTN FA Cup title.
Now, as Kotoko’s coach, he is approaching the game with a focus on professionalism, despite his recent ties to the opposing team.
“I’m a professional coach and I belong to where I work so there is not any emotional issue. The issue is that I have to beat them based on my target in the league” Zito said.
Kotoko is ranked fourth in the league with 51 points, trailing league leaders Nations FC by three points.
