Lack of goals is concerning but having an identity is more important- Hearts Head Coach
Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has stated that the lack of goals in his team is concerning but believes that the most important thing is about the club having an identity.
He said this in a post-game interview after the Phobians drew goalless with Kpando Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite not losing a game five games into the 2025-2026 season, Hearts have picked up three draws and two wins while scoring just twice in five outings.
Responding to a question about the lack of goals, Didi Dramani noted that he is worried but added that the most important thing is what the team has done so far and that is playing with an identity.
“Every coach will be worried in this instance but I think that the most important aspect of the game is what we are doing; that we have an identity…to control the opponents when they have the right moments so I think that it is the next phase that we need to intensify.”

“We’ve been doing a lot in this regard, I don’t have to justify this but I think that it is still work in progress” Didi Dramani said.

Hearts of Oak rank fifth in the 18 team league standings. Hearts drew with Kpando without goalkeeper Benjamin Asare who featured in Ghana’s 1-0 win over Comoros in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier that sealed the Black Stars’ spot in the tournament.
