President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated the urgent need for bold, practical economic policies that genuinely empower Ghanaian entrepreneurs and create a thriving business climate.

In a Facebook post following his engagement with business leaders during the Easter festivities in Kwahu, Mahama praised the ingenuity, resilience, and commitment of local entrepreneurs, CEOs, and heads of financial institutions who continue to drive economic activity despite mounting challenges.

He expressed deep appreciation to the Kwahu business community for their role in supporting Ghana’s development and pledged his unwavering support for an enabling environment where businesses can grow, create jobs, and contribute meaningfully to national progress.

“Entrepreneurship is the engine of growth, and we must do more than pay lip service. We need sound policies that turn potential into success and open doors for innovation and enterprise,” Mahama stated.

The former President reaffirmed his commitment to “reset Ghana” by rebuilding the foundations of the economy, promoting inclusive growth, and ensuring that local businesses are not only supported but also empowered to thrive.

According to him, Ghana’s economic transformation cannot be achieved without strategic investments in entrepreneurship, innovation, and financial access, especially for youth-led and small-to-medium-sized enterprises.

“Our entrepreneurs need more than promises—they need policies that work, systems that support, and leadership that listens,” Mahama concluded.
