Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has called for Tottenham Hotspurs to learn from the big lesson Paris Saint-Germain handed to them in the UEFA Super Cup.
French club PSG won the 2025 UEFA Super Cup after beating Tottenham in a penalty shootout after the game ended 2-2 in regulation time.
Kudus’ Spurs led 2-0 but conceded two goals in the last 10 minutes to miss out on winning the tie; in his first competitive game for Spurs since joining the club from West Ham United this offseason, the Black Stars player played 79 minutes in the loss.
Speaking after the game, Kudus highlighted the importance of staying focused throughout a contest to Sky Sports stating,
“It is disappointing to lose the game in the end.”

“This is a big lesson to stay focused for the whole 90 minutes but I’m really proud of the team for their worth ethic, their energy because I think we had them [PSG] for most part of the game it’s just the last part that we need to keep the full concentration but we will take this is as a lesson.”

Tottenham Hotspurs take on Burnley at home in its 2025-2026 EPL season opener at 14:00 GMT on Saturday, August 16. Scroll down to watch Kudus interview
