Mahama to present first State of the Nation address on Feb. 27

President John Dramani Mahama is set to deliver his first State of the Nation address on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

This announcement was made by Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga in Parliament on Friday, February 21.

In line with constitutional requirements, the president will use this platform to provide a comprehensive overview of the nation’s economic state, highlighting the challenges inherited and the strategic plans to drive economic recovery.

“He will delve deeply into our current economic situation, what we inherited, and the plans moving forward to ensure economic revival,” said Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Minister of State in charge of government communications, on Thursday, February 20.

Additionally, Mr. Ofosu Kwakye announced that the National Economic Dialogue is scheduled for March 3 to 4.

This event will bring together key stakeholders to discuss strategies for transforming the economy.

Further, Finance Minister Ato Forson will present the government’s first budget on March 11.

The budget will outline economic policies and specific measures aimed at tackling the nation’s economic challenges and setting the country on a path to recovery.
