Major breakthrough for Ghana as Kurt Okraku wins CAF EXCO seat

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, is gradually restoring the country’s image at the continental stage following his ascension to the esteemed CAF Executive Council seat.

The affable Ghanaian football administrator has been voted to the highest decision making body of the Confederation of African Football, representing the West Africa Football Union Zone B.

Despite being in office as Ghana’s FA boss for just five years, the former journalist has endeared himself to the managers of African football with his vast knowledge and experience.

His latest success is seen as a major step for Ghana’s football, becoming the sixth man from the West African nation to serve at the Executive Council of CAF. The GFA boss is expected to use his latest position to aid the continuous development of football in Ghana.

Mr Okraku has overseen a massive transformation of Ghana’s football since taking over following the collapse of the sport after the Anas Expose in 2018.

Not only has he made a significant impact in Ghana’s football but also in the West African Zone B, where he has been chairman for the past few years.
