NPP intensifies campaign in Akwatia ahead of by-election

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is actively engaging with voters in Akwatia, located in the Eastern Region, as they ramp up their campaign efforts ahead of the by-election.

At the forefront of this initiative is the party’s candidate, Solomon Kwame Asumadu, who has garnered support from the party leadership.

Justin Kodua, the NPP General Secretary, is currently in the constituency, meeting with residents to discuss the importance of supporting the New Patriotic Party.

During one of these gatherings, the General Secretary urged the people of Akwatia to recognize the positive contributions Asumadu has made even in the absence of political power, emphasizing the need to grant him the opportunity to achieve even more for the community.

“When we selected Asumadu, we were told that he’s without blemish. Everyone attested to his qualities and his genuine support for people and the development of Akwatia. We hope that you remember this and vote massively for him to lead the constituency as we go back to the polls,” he said.

Following the unfortunate passing of their former member of parliament, the NPP has rallied behind Solomon Kwame Asumadu, who serves as the constituency treasurer, to lead the charge in the upcoming by-election.

Set for September 2, this electoral contest will see the NDC conducting its primaries to select their parliamentary candidate on August 4, 2025.
