The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is mourning the tragic loss of eight lives in a military helicopter crash that has left the nation in shock.
The crash, which claimed the lives of Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed and six others onboard, has been described by the party as a heartbreaking incident that not only affects the bereaved families but also deals a deep blow to the country.
The NPP noted that the victims were individuals who had dedicated their lives to safeguarding Ghana.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party conveyed its deepest condolences to the families affected by the tragedy. The statement also called for unity in the face of sorrow.
“We pray that the Almighty God grants them comfort and strength during this excruciatingly difficult period,” Mr Kodua said.
