Oloboi Commodore suspended for one match and fined GHc2,000

The GFA Disciplinary Committee has announced a decision on a misconduct case involving the CEO of Great Olympics Oloboi Commodore.

INCIDENT

In an interview on, an Accra radio station, Happy FM, OLOBOI COMMODORE stated among others that, ‘if not for dubious officiating they (referring to Accra Hearts of Oak SC) wouldn’t be where they are now’. Comment is deemed to be ungentlemanly and likely to bring the game into disrepute. The Association also find the comments made as an accusation you made against match officials without proof. In his written statement of defence, OLOBOI COMMODORE pleaded guilty to the charge.

According to the GFA Disciplinary Committee his comment breached regulation: Breach of Article 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019.

SANCTIONS

1.That Oloboi Commodoreis found guilty of the Charge.

2.That a fine of GHc2,000is hereby imposed on Oloboi Commodore, CEO of Great Olympics FC for the misconduct in accordance with Article 34(9)of the GFA Premier League Regulations and Article 6(1)of the GFA Disciplinary Code.

3.That Oloboi Commodore is hereby handed a one match suspension in accordance with Article 6(2)(a) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.

4.That Oloboi Commodore shall within three (3) days use the same medium, apologise to the Referees of the GFA and the entire Association, failing which Oloboi Commodore shall serve a further 6 months ban.

5.Oloboi Commodoreis warned that any future misconduct shall receive a more severe punishment.
