Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has reaffirmed Parliament’s unwavering support for President John Dramani Mahama’s agenda to drive economic growth and create equitable job opportunities for Ghanaians.
Speaking at the 2025 Kwahu Business Forum on Saturday, April 19, Mr Ayariga highlighted the central role of the private sector in national development and pledged active collaboration between Parliament, ministries, and industry players.
“The private sector is the engine of our economy, and you, the business leaders, are the drivers. You are the innovators and job creators we must support, nurture, and grow. This platform reflects Your Excellency’s commitment to that mission,” he told participants.
The Majority Leader stressed that Parliament is ready to partner with the executive to deliver on development goals and monitor implementation.
“Parliament stands ready to support your agenda to drive growth and deliver jobs that are inclusive and sustainable,” he said.
He further assured that parliamentary committees will actively engage sector ministers and businesses to identify key challenges and craft practical solutions.
“Our committees will work hand-in-hand with ministries and enterprises to uncover obstacles, recommend effective responses, and track progress. We will ensure your ministers are delivering on the promises made to Ghanaians,” Ayariga noted.
He concluded by affirming Parliament’s oversight role in ensuring enterprise incubation and development efforts are realised nationwide.
