PICTURES: Bantama MP Asenso-Boakye visits Asante Kotoko in Dubai
Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye paid a visit to Asante Kotoko players and officials in Dubai on Wednesday morning.
The Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency who is in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on behalf of the Government for business meetings took time off to visit the camp base of the Premier League giants.
Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are currently in the Gulf country for a two-week preseason tour ahead of their 2021/22 season’s campaign.
Asenso-Boakye was welcomed to the Porcupine Warriors camp base by the club’s management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah. Other members were David Obeng Nyarko and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi.
“I took time off my official trip to the United Arab Emirates and paid a visit to the camp base of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC in Dubai, where the club is on a training tour as part preparations toward the new football season in Ghana.” Asenso-Boakye wrote on his official Facebook page
“I charged the young soccer lads to take full advantage of the training tour offered them by management of the club, led by the dynamic CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah.”
“I am happy to learn of initiatives being put in place by the management, and with the support of the technical team and playing body, I am confident the club will be back to winning ways in the coming football season.”
Asante Kotoko will engage United Arab Emirates second-tier outfit Al Hilal United in a club friendly on Thursday.
