President embarks on three-day working visit to three regions

President Nana Akufo-Addo is from today (Monday) embarking on a three-day working visit to three regions of the north.

The President’s visit will take him to the Northern, North East and Savannah regions to inspect the progress of ongoing developmental projects, commission completed projects and cut sod for work to resume on others. 

This is the second time this year the President is visiting the northern part of the country. In February, he embarked on a two-day working visit to the Savannah and Upper West regions.

Among the projects he is expected to commission are the Yapei Water project in the Savannah Region and the Narilegu Water project in the Northern Region, a statement issued by the Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, said.

The President would also cut sods for the start of work on the Yendi, Damango and Tamale Water project as well as the construction of an ultra-modern regional office of the youth employment Agency at Nareligu in the North-East Region.

Apart from inspecting the projects, he will also engage a retinue of traditional leaders including Kusugwura, Yagbonwura, Nayiri and the Yaa Naa.

The President will return to Accra on July 29, 2020.
