There won’t be problems with my ex-wife on the bench – CJ nominee

They married and divorced but will now join hands to deliver justice at the Supreme Court.

But Chief Justice nominee, Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah, says if approved, there will not be problems with his ex-wife, Justice Avril Lovelace Johnson, who is now on the Supreme Court.

Justice Avril Lovelace Johnson was among the three new Supreme Court judges appointed to the apex court by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in December 2019.

There have been concerns raised about the professionalism both Justices will exhibit in their line of duty.

But responding to a question posed by a Member of Parliament for Hohoe and Member of the Appointment Committee, Dr Bernice Heloo, Justice Anin Yeboah said there will not be any problems in the discharge of their various duties.

“Mr Chairman with all due respect, no. There will be no dilemmas. We’re all professionals” he said.
