The Electoral Commission(EC) says the 2023 limited voters registration exercise, which came to a closure on the 2nd of October, 2023, will not be extended to eligible citizens who, for some reason, did not visit any of the District offices within the stipulated period to register.
However, the EC has assured the general public that arrangements have been made to ensure that eligible citizens who were in the queue before 5:00 p.m., as at the time the registration process ended, will be allowed to register today, Tuesday, the 3rd of October, 2023.
The EC, in a statement signed by AG. Head of Public Affairs Michael Boadu, on the 2nd of October, 2023, emphasized that “This arrangement will be extended only to eligible applicants in the queue at 5:00 pm, Monday, the 2nd of October, 2023”.
