WAFU B prioritises human capacity development – Kurt Okraku

WAFU Zone B President Kurt Okraku has emphasised the sub-regional body’s commitment to building human capacity as a key pillar for football development.

Speaking at the CAF Zonal WAFU B meeting in Cairo, Okraku highlighted ongoing efforts to equip staff with the necessary skills to enhance football administration across the region.

“We have prioritized human capacity and skills development for our employees, recognizing that our people are our greatest asset. Through various training programs and workshops, we are equipping our staff with the skills necessary to excel in their roles and contribute to the growth of football in our region,” he stated.

Under Okraku’s leadership, WAFU B has implemented strategic initiatives aimed at improving administrative efficiency and fostering collaboration among member associations. The focus on capacity building aligns with the broader vision of CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe to strengthen African football’s foundations.

WAFU B, which includes Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Niger, and Togo, continues to invest in both personnel and infrastructure, with the relocation of its headquarters to Abidjan marking another significant step in its development agenda.
