WAFU Zone B: Black Satellites lose opening game to Nigeria

Ghana’s U-20 national football team, the Black Satellites, lost 2-0 to Nigeria in the opening game of the WAFU Zone B Championship ongoing in Niger.

Ghana, the defending champions, got off to a horrible start when they conceded just 5 minutes into the game when Aminu Muhammad slotted the ball past Gregory Obeng in goal.

The Flying Eagles then doubled their lead in the second half, with substitute Ahmed Abdullai scoring what proved to be the winner on the day.

Karim Zito’s boys must now win their last group game against Burkina Faso if they are to progress from their group and make it into the semi finals of the competition.
