We are not your regular Division One League Club – Hohoe United Administrative Manager

Administrative Manager of Hohoe United, Yusif Alhassan, has asserted that the club is far from being an ordinary Division One League side, highlighting its solid infrastructure, financial stability, and strategic operational model as key indicators of their ambition and professionalism.

Despite their impressive season in the Access Bank Division One League Zone Three, table-toppers Hohoe United suffered their fourth defeat of the campaign, falling 1-0 to Attram De Visser at the Tuba AstroTurf.

Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports, Yusif Alhassan emphasized that Hohoe United meets all the requirements set by the Club Licensing Committee of the Ghana Football Association and is well-positioned to compete in the country’s top-tier league.

“For the requirement to play  Premier League football, I don’t think they are so much beyond us. ”

“As we speak the Hohoe Sports Stadium,  is one of the best football facilities you can have around in this country and premier league game have actually taken place there .”

“Those days when Hearts of Lions were struggling with venue issues, when work was still ongoing at the Kpando sports stadium,a t a point they opted to play some of their games at the Hohoe sports stadium , and they hosted some major games there including,t heir game against Hearts of oak, so in terms of venue I don’t think we are going to have issues at all. “

“Financially , yes I mean financing football in this country is no joke but I think so far we’ve done very well for ourselves for us to become the model club we want to be .”

“We try as much as possible to connect with the coperate  environment ,to connect with business , to connect with local business ,smaller businesses in Hohoe and everybody is playing a role to ensure that the finances of the club is okay.

“We are not your regular division one league club, we are a club that want to do things differently. “

Hohoe United, firmly focused on securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League, have amassed an impressive 16 wins, 3 draws, and 4 losses, bringing their points tally to 51. They currently lead the Access Bank Division One League Zone Three standings, with Port City hot on their heels in second place with 48 points and just seven matches remaining in the campaign.

Up next, Hohoe United will face Golden Kicks in a crucial Matchday 24 away fixture at the Teshie MacDan AstroTurf, while Port City also hit the road to take on 16th-placed Akatsi All Stars FC.
