We can’t afford to lose Frank Mbella – Kotoko board chairman
Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko Dr Kwame Kyei says the side will do everything possible to keep Frank Mbella ahead of their African campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League campaign after winning the Ghana Premier League title.
Mbella, who has enjoyed an amazing campaign with Kotoko has become a subject of interest for several clubs with his agent, Amadou Fontem Tigana confirming over 5000 offers from clubs.
But in an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Dr Kwame Kyei says the club cannot lose Mbella ahead of their African campaign.
“We are going to Africa so we have to augment our squad, we cannot afford to lose key players like Mbella” he said.
Asante Kotoko will play Accra Lions on Saturday in their last Ghana Premier League game.
