Nigerian musician Davido has spoken about his glamorous white wedding to his wife, Chioma Adeleke, days after the event.
In a post on X on August 13, 2025, Davido stated that he and his newlywed wife had an amazing ceremony.
Davido stated that he and his spouse are unconcerned despite criticisms that he organised an extravagant wedding.
“We had an amazing wedding, Perfect in fact! And my wife’s body still Dey sweet us like this,” he said in English mixed with Pidgin.
Davido further described his marriage ceremony as a fairytale, adding that the wedding was one of the best days of his life.
“Nothing una fit do say, or make up will never change the facts that we had a fairytale wedding! And one of the best days, not the best day of our lives! The whole world celebrated us!” he added.
The Miami wedding ceremony of Chioma Avril Rowland and David Adeleke, known as Davido, was a lavish event held on August 10, 2025, at The Havana in Miami, Florida.
This white wedding marked a significant chapter in their relationship, following their traditional wedding in Lagos, Nigeria, in June 2024.
The ceremony was estimated to cost $3.7 million. It was attended by a host of celebrities, billionaires, and political figures, underscoring its status as one of the most expensive celebrity weddings in Nigerian history.
The event faced some challenges, including visa issues that affected the attendance of some guests, such as Chioma’s parents and close friends like Cubana Chief Priest.
Despite these hurdles, the wedding proceeded with grandeur, cementing Davido and Chioma’s status as a power couple in the entertainment industry.
