We’ll work hard to improve – Tariq Lamptey reacts after Brighton’s stalemate against Leicester City
Ghana international Tariq Lamptey has expressed his disappointment after Brighton and Hove Albion threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Leicester City in the English Premier League.
The Black Stars defender started and played full throttle of the match as his outfit settled for a draw with the Foxes at the King Power Stadium.
Lamptey was impressive, scoring a stunning goal in the thrilling encounter held at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
“Tough one to take, but we will keep working hard to improve and be ready. Thanks for the support as always, hope everyone got back safe” he wrote on Instagram.
Brighton opened the scoring in the 37th-minute mark through Lamptey, who curled a left-footed strike into the top corner after cutting inside from the wing.
Despite Leicester’s pressure, the Seagulls doubled their lead late on when Yankuba Minteh weaved past defenders to score what looked like the winner.
However, Leicester City staged a strong comeback to settle for a draw against Brighton on home turf.
Experienced forward Jamie Vardy pulled one back in the dying minutes before setting up Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s equaliser in dramatic fashion.
