Yaw Tog hints at potential collaboration with Stonebwoy
Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog has revealed his interest in working with reggae/dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy on his upcoming project.
Speaking in an interview on Onua Showtime, the young artist, known for his contributions to the Asakaa (drill) movement, is venturing into the Afroswing genre and believes Stonebwoy’s unique style would be a perfect fit for his new sound.
“But the one I would really like to work with is Stonebwoy. I have an Afroswing project, so if I do it, I want a few verses from him. He is the first on my mind,” he said.
The rapper also shared insights into his current musical direction, explaining that he is focused on gradually releasing EPs.
Rather than rushing into collaborations, he wants to establish solid ground with his work before bringing in other artists.
“Right now, I just want to drop EPs all over the place gradually. If by God’s grace, the work starts to produce results, I’ll start working with others,” he stated.
