The National Road Safety Authority has attributed these sky-rocketing figures to what it says is the non-compliance with road safety regulations on the part of drivers, motor riders and pedestrians.

Measures

The Road Safety Authority says in order to reduce the number of road crashes on the country’s roads, NABCO and Nation Service personnel will be deployed to patrol major roads throughout the country.

This was announced by the Director General of the Authority, May Obiri Yeboah at the launch of this year’s road safety campaign dubbed ‘stop road accident now before it stops you’.

She stressed on the need for a behavioral change.
