2022 Commonwealth Games: Ghana’s Abeiku Jackson finishes 6th in 50m butterfly

Ghanaian swimmer, Abeiku Jackson finished with a time of 24.19s to place 6th in his 50m butterfly heats in the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

His finishing time was not enough to qualify him for the swimming semi-finals of the men’s event.

Jackson finished 17th overall out of the 54 participants in all the heats.

He finished well behind Benjamin Proud (ENG), Matthew Temple (AUS), Joshua Edwards (CAN), Adam Barrett (ENG) and Finlay Knox.

 

Team Ghana has 100 athletes and will be hoping to bring home some medals in the various sporting disciplines as the competition grows.
