The expo is also supported by the High Commission of India Accra, the India Africa Trade Council and the Periyar African Foundation.

India ranks among the top five destinations for African students travelling abroad for higher education. Currently, some 25,000 African students are studying in 500 public and private universities across India, according to the Association for African Students in India.

The numbers are estimated to grow in the future with increased cooperation between India and Africa and the growing interest of African students in India.

The ‘Study in India’ Expo is expected to open doors of all possibilities for African students to connect with many premier universities and colleges, interact with the heads & faculties of the admissions, and learn more about higher education opportunities in India, all under one roof.
