A Plus Eyes Gomoa Central Parliamentary Seat In 2024
Ghanaian musician and entertainment pundit Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A Plus, has declared his intention to contest for the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat as an independent candidate in the 2024 general elections.
A Plus aims to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Naana Eyiah Quansah, who currently holds the position on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
The musician, addressing the media after his late father’s funeral held over the weekend, said he is confident in his ability to win the Gomoa Central seat based on his past contributions to the development of the constituency.
In his speech, A Plus was optimistic about winning the seat and admonished other aspirants to step aside for him to go unopposed.
A Plus stated that he intends to become the only independent candidate in Ghana’s parliament, adding that he has more influence than any politician in the constituency.
He called on others to join him in his ambition, suggesting that he may use his position as an MP to help others become District Chief Executives when his dream comes true.
