President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made fresh changes to his government with the appointment of Abena Osei-Asare as a Minister of State at the Finance Ministry.

Madam Osei-Asare, formerly a deputy minister, replaces Mohammed Amin Adam, who assumes the role of Finance Minister following Ken Ofori-Atta’s departure.

Dr. Alexander Ampaabeng, NPP 2024 parliamentary candidate for Juaboso constituency, in the Western North Region, succeeds Osei-Asare as Deputy Minister for Finance.

These appointments were communicated to Parliament’s Speaker, Alban Bagbin, with vetting expected in the coming weeks.

The former deputy Finance Minister, an experienced banker and chartered accountant, has served as Atiwa East MP since 2013.

She also chairs the Parliamentary Service Board and serves on key committees.
