Ghana is in pot two ahead of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) draw to be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The draw which will take place at Palas de Congres Hotel in Yaounde, Cameroon, will see the 24 participating teams divided into six groups of four.

Based on this ranking, the top four teams are allocated to Pot 1 along with the hosts, Cameroon, and the
title holder Algeria.

The remaining 18 teams are allocated to the three remaining pots – 2, 3 and 4 according to their ranking in descending order.

Host nation Cameroon is in Pot 1 alongside Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria and Morocco while Egypt, Ghana, Mali, Ivory Coast, Guinea and Burkina Faso are in Pot 2.
