Agric Ministry announces Farmers’ Day road closures in Accra

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture(MoFA) has announced the closure of roads in the Ministerial enclave in Accra ahead of the 39th Famers’ Day Celebrations.

In a statement, the ministry said the National Farmers’ Day which is slated for December 1, 2023, will feature a 5-day Agricultural Fair.

“Considering this, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture wishes to notify all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies and the public of a road closure,” the statement said.

The affected roads are the Ridge Roundabout through the Principal Streets of Parliament House, Independence Square, the John Evans Alta Mills Court Complex, and the Principal Streets of the National Theatre.

“Staff and clients of affected government institutions are kindly requested to park at either Independence Square or Afua Sutherland Park. The Ghana Police Service will be deployed to provide adequate security, ensuring the safety of vehicles parked in these designated areas.”
