Akonnor to announce Black Stars squad for World Cup qualifiers on Friday

Head Coach of the Black Stars Charles Kwablan Akonnor is set to announce his squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday.

According to the Ghana FA, the senior team coach will be addressing the media on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Conference Room of the Ghana Football Association.

Akonnor will use the opportunity to name his squad ahead of the double-header in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

It will be the second time the Black Stars coach meets the press to announce his squad for the two games.

Ghana is expected to host Group G opponents Ethiopia on Friday, September 3 in Cape Coast, before travelling to Johannesburg for a clash with South Africa on Monday, September 6, 2021.

The Press briefing will take place at 11 am.
