“This enviable honour according to the Paramount Chief of the Takpo Traditional Area, Naa Widaana Nanga II, is in recognition of my services and support during my tenure as a Member of Parliament, Minister, Deputy Speaker and Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Ghana”.

“Under the skin name Sunniyong Maalu Sungmaali Naa Bagbin I. I was outdoored at a modest, but colourful and well-patronised ceremony at the forecourt of the Takpo Traditional Council at Takpo.

“I assured the people of my unwavering support, intervention and partnership in order to bring the needed development to the area. To this end, I donated my widow’s mite to the Traditional Council in support of their development agenda”.

“In my new capacity as Tinmaale Naa, I called on the people to unite, close their ranks and forge a common front in order to beat the poverty and underdevelopment which is the common enemy instead of fighting one another over politics and other inconsequential issues”.
