A former Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has urged government to prioritize the interest of the country in dealing with the ongoing brouhaha with the concession agreement between the ECG and PDS.

Outlining a number of options available to government, the former spokesperson for President John Dramani Mahama said “We can opt for an Initial Public Offering (IPO), float preference shares, decentralize the management of ECG etc. The options are not limited.”

Dr. Omane Boamah in a post on Facebook said the cancellation of the seemingly fraudulent PDS deal will be an option in the interest of all and backed by the American authorities.

“America exports democracy and privatization, which is not bad for them, so between cancelling the fraudulent PDS-ECG agreement and a different option, they may support the former.”

“The status quo is pure crony capitalism and state capture,” he wrote.

Good morning

Abrogate the ECG-PDS scandal!

The status quo is pure crony capitalism and state capture.
