Armed Robbery In Wee Hours
Terrified travellers on the Accra-Kumasi highway had some relief and respite when their buses screeched to a stop at a filling station along their journey paths.
The travellers got advanced warnings during their journey that other vehicles had fallen victim to armed robbery attacks.
The incident occurred on the Accra-Kumasi highway at about midnight on Sunday.
Eyewitness accounts gave a horrifying tale of the emergency stoppages and detours by vehicles plying the route. They said, there were no police patrol teams at the time of the danger, and calls placed on the police had no response.
How the nocturnal incident folded up is unknown as nobody would leisurely watch the frightful scenes of gun attacks.
