Ghanaian midfielder Mudasiru Salifu has joined Moldovan club, FC Sheriff Tiraspol ahead of the upcoming season.

He completed a move to the club from 2021/22 Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

He was a key member of the Porcupine Warriors team that won the league title, scoring scored two goals in 28 appearances.

Mudasiru departed Ghana for trials last month with two other Asante Kotoko players namely Richard Boadu and Andrews Appau.

After impressing the technical handlers of FC Sheriff, the club has handed the 25-year-old a contract. He penned a deal on Monday morning after successfully passing his medicals.

“Ghana’s 2022 champion midfielder Mudasiru Salifu has successfully passed a medical check up and signed a personal contract with Sheriff FC, thus becoming a full member of our friendly club,” Sheriff posted on Facebook.

“FC Sheriff staff is pleased to welcome Mudasira Salifu and wishes him success in our club’s yellow and black shirt.”

Mudasiru joins fellow Ghanaians Razak Abalora, Edmund Addo, Patrick Kpozo, and Khalid Basit at the club.
