The Health Ministry has advised Ghanaians to avoid all non-essential travels to Coronoavirus-hit China.

The virus which started in December 2019, has so far killed 213 people with over 10,000 people most of whom are in China infected.

More than 100 cases have also been reported in 22 other countries.

Ghana has however not recorded any case yet.

In a statement issued by the Health Minister, Kweku Agyeman-Manu on Friday, he said: ” there will be a National Technical Coordinating Committee (NTTC) to review the resilience of our current arrangements to prevent an outbreak as outlined in the earlier release”.

The statement further said, “in the meantime, we are requesting that ALL non-essential travel to China should be avoided or delayed”.

Ghanaians living in China have appealed to government to evacuate them back home following fears of being infected with the virus.
