Empire signee Black Sherif has been nominated for the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.
The reigning VGMA artiste of the year has been nominated for the Best International Flow award.
Black Sherif is contending with Central Cee from the UK, Gazo from France, J Hus from the UK, South Africa’s K.O, Major RD from Brazil and Ninho from France.
Also nominated in the category is the late South African rapper AKA, who was shot in February this year, Sampa The Great from Zambia and Brazil’s Tasha & Tracie.
The ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ hitmaker is the only Ghanaian nominated for an award this year, and this is the second time he has been nominated for the prestigious award.
In 2022, Black Sherif alias Blacko secured a BET Hip Hop Award nomination in the same category but lost it to France’s Benjamin Epps.
