CAF names officials for Kamsar vs Hearts Champions League game

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Malian Sory Ibrahima Keita Sory will be the centre referee in the preliminary round Champions League game between Guinean side CI Kamsar and Hearts of Oak.

Sory will be working with his compatriots Drissa Kamory Naire and Amadou Belly Guisse Amadou as assistants 1 and 2 respectively while Harouna Coulibaly, will be the fourth official for the game.

Meanwhile, Senegalese Fadouma Dia has been appointed as the referee assessor with Omer Kouame Dehoule from Ivory Coast as the Match Commissioner.

Mohammed Tafsir Soumah from Guinea is the CAF COVID-19 officer for the match.

Hearts of Oak will make a trip to Guinea to battle out with Kamsar in the first-leg tie on September 12 before hosting them in the reverse leg at the Accra Sports Stadium a week later.

The winner of the tie between Hearts and Kamsar will face Moroccan heavyweights Wydad Athletic Club in the first round in October.

The winner of the first-round tie advances to the group stage of the competition which starts in February 2022.

The Phobians are returning to continental football since their last appearance in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup where they were eliminated by Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis in a pre-group playoff game.
