CHAN 2022: Senegal goalie Pape Mamadou Sy named Best Goalkeeper at the end of tourney

Senegal goalkeeper, Pape Mamadou Sy has been honored with the golden glove award at the end of the CHAN 2022 tournament.

The 2022 CAF Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament came to a close on Saturday, February 4.

The final was played between Algeria and Senegal at the iconic Nelson mandela Sports Stadium.

The game ended goalless in regulation time and had to be decided on penalties.

Senegal came out tops to lift the CHAN 2022 trophy as the Algerians were left heartbroken on home soil.

At the end of the tournament, Senegal goalie Pape Mamadou Sy was named the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament during the presentation ceremony.

He was key throughout the tournament and contributed immensely to the success of the Lions.
