Don’t give up, We’ll qualify — Samuel Boadu assures Hearts of Oak fans

Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu is optimistic of his qualification to the group stages of the CAF Champions League after a 1-0 win over Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) in the preliminary round.

The Phobians have a slim advantage over Moroccan heavyweights Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) courtesy of a lone strike from Isaac Mensah which secured them a 1-0 in the first leg tie in Accra on Sunday afternoon.

Boadu has assured the club’s teeming supporters to rally behind the team as they make a trip to the North Africa country next weekend for the reverse fixture at the
Stade Mohammed V.

He said in an interview after the game that his side has enough quality to make it to the next phase of the CAF Champions League.

“We have learnt a lot from this game [against WAC]. We’ll surely manage our style of play in the return leg tie for a good outcome in Morocco,” Boadu told reporters after the game

“The fans shouldn’t give up and that’s our motto ‘Never Say Die’. We are travelling to Morocco to qualify to the next stage of the competition”

Hearts of Oak will travel to Casablanca for the second leg tie against WAC in a week’s time.
