Veteran gospel musician Gifty Empress Oppong Adorye professionally known as Empress Gifty has released the music video for her new song ‘Awieyε Pa’.
The new song features ‘This Far’ hitmaker Ewura Abena and was recorded by legendary music producer Shadrach Yawson.
The video directed and shot by renowned director, Skyweb tells the story of a talented young lady who faced challenges growing up although she was blessed with a good voice and always passionate to sing.
The young lady was once sent to the market to purchase some items for the family and upon seeing an evangelist playing his guitar alongside preaching, she decided to join him to sing.
On the same day, she met her destiny helper as a man in his lavish car gave his contact to her to call back for a follow-up.
Unknowing to this young lady, her mother who couldn’t wait any longer at home stormed the market to humiliate her and later sacked her from the house.
After some time, her destiny helper took her to a studio for a song recording and through that, her star began to shine.
The song released on May 11, 2023, is based on the book of Jeremiah 29:11, which says “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
The song according to Empress Gifty is to encourage listeners that no matter how difficult life becomes, there will be a perfect and expected end.
